Shoulder pain can also be relieved effectively by chiropractic care.
The main nerve supply and network from the neck to the shoulder and arms is called the ‘brachial plexus’. If the nerves going to the shoulder and hands become trapped or irritated, then weakness, tingling and pain may result.
This is often called ‘thoracic outlet syndrome’, and is common in people who do repetitive task with their hands and shoulders.
The irritation to the nerves may begin in the neck itself, from worn or malfunctioning neck joints. Another common cause of neck and shoulder pain is poor posture overloading the neck muscles and joints.
Your chiropractor is able to diagnose and effectively treat these causes.1-2
