My name is Dr Craig Pointon, and I am the principal chiropractor and founder of Mawson Lakes Chiropractic.
I established this clinic in June of 2006, when much of Mawson Lakes was still a construction site and referred to by locals as Mossie Lakes!
I am Adelaide born, and originally qualified as a school teacher, enjoying working 5 years at Tyndale Christian College before changing career to become a chiropractor? I often get asked ‘why the change’?
Chiropractic had been a part of my life since I was 8, as I was not the biggest kid on the football team! Growing up into my twenties, chiropractors who I knew socially never seemed to lack enthusiasm about their profession, even out of hours (which is usually the true test of whether someone really likes their job!) So in 1997 I entered chiropractic college at RMIT Melbourne, and enjoyed a fantastic 5 years an adult entry student.
Each day always has a moment where I am amazed at the innate ability of the body to heal itself given the right environment.
After graduating in 2001 I then worked in Timaru, New Zealand and then Dublin, Ireland before returning to Adelaide in 2005.
Being a chiropractor is an amazing career. Each day always has a moment where I am amazed at the innate ability of the body to heal itself given the right environment. I particularly enjoy feeling involved with families, where new additions are brought in for care, and getting sportspersons back on the field when they think their careers are over, or at least over their peak!
I look forward to meeting you here, hearing your story and being able to share what chiropractic can do for you.
